OLD FRIENDS & NEW BONDS

The portraits in Old Friends & New Bonds represent an expansive community of gender-creative children. Those pictured have attended Camp I Am, a yearly summer camp, Gender Conference East, an annual conference in support and celebration of their gender nonconformity, with some who have participated in both. At Gender Conference East, parents select from and extensive list of workshops to attend while the children recreate and revisit old friends and form new bonds.
